Our sister site, Middlewich Station, which campaigns for a new passenger service on the Sandbach-Middlewich-Northwich line, is celebrating a major update to Subterranea Britannica's Disused Stations site in which many more photographs of Middlewich Station, old and new, have been added, together with maps, timetables and examples of tickets etc. There are also two new entries on the line's other two 'stations', Billinge Green and Cledford Bridge.

THE MAGIC TINDERBOX at BYLEY (ARCHIVED)

ARCHIVED

Helping fill the void between Christmas and the coming of Spring is the grand old British tradition of pantomime and one of the best in our area is the annual show at Byley Village Hall presented by the Byley Players.
This year they presented Peter Bond's Magic Tinderbox and, as ever, a splendid time was had by all!

Cliff Astles went to see the show and reports:

Tonight my good wife Barbara and myself went to the BYLEY PANTOMINE, and what a GREAT show it was. The  MAGIC TINDERBOX performed by the Byley Players is a real WINNER for ALL of the family. An excellent way to spend a cold winter evening. It was well acted, well sung, and very very funny!! My wife has fallen in love again with the "Mrs Duckling" played by Tyler Blay.  Where else can you spend time with the kids, out of the cold and wet weather, and enjoy family fun, as it used to be?
