FAB Festival Fringe events
Friday 13th June

4pm White Bear (lounge) 
Watchtone
Fresh from gigs home `in the North', they comprise three very
talented musicians to provide the perfect festival opening at this
popular town centre venue.

7pm Boars Head (upstairs) 
Boaters' Supper 
A social night for boat enthusiasts and like-minded people- with 
entertainment` provided by the one (and only) Bernard Cromarty
£5 supper must be ordered in advance, direct from the venue 

7pm Kings Lock (canal side stage) 
Clutching at Straws 
Now a full-time four-piece band. A pleasure to welcome back on their 
third consecutive visit, for the Kings Lock opening night at the 
festival. Welcome to Dean and crew at this popular canal-side 
venue, hosting a packed weekend of FREE entertainment 

7pm Middlewich Narrowboats
Kathryn Wheel + Skiffle Show 
Kathryn Wheel gigs are always enjoyable, fronted by Sarah, belting 
it out alongside the bearded, wisened, seasoned performers. 
The Skiffle Show are DH Lawrence & Co- a brief busk here last year 
and they`re back for more! Great fun at the Boatyard 

7pm Narrowboat- 
Undercover + Pastry Shoes 
Still from Holmes Chapel, Crewe, & Stoke, Undercover play a (very) 
lively set of here/now covers. Pastry Shoes play with a smile and a 
wink, and their Jazz n` Swing music never fails to entertain. Often 
seen supporting local music including the Narrowboat`s Open Mike
Night on 2nd Thursday each month - new singers always welcome.


7pm White Bear- (Courtyard) 
The DH Lawrence Skiffle Show 
DH Lawrence & Co bring their fun-time skiffle to open the Courtyard 
Stage (rear of the pub) in style on the venue`s opening night 

7pm White Bear- (festival club)
Celtic Music Session 
Early start maybe- but with joint hosts NE3Folk and Watchtone, this 
is one music session you don`t want to miss. Sublime airs plus jigs 
and reels a-plenty. Musicians most welcome or sit back and enjoy 

8pm Boars Head (lounge)- 
Morris Welcome 
Earl of Stamford host the annual `Welcome to Middlewich` session, 
making the most of this fabulous Robinsons` hostelry, often spilling 
into the dining room and beer garden. Musicians always welcome 

8pm Big Lock-
The Red-Head Band 
Fantastic live band `the Red-Heads evolved from Winsford`s vibrant 
music culture, much of which comes from the Red Lion- in Winsford! 
Awesome lead guitar by Trish Watt with guest vocalist Krystal and 
driving rhythm led by the one and only Golty 

8pm Cheshire Cheese-
The John Collins Band 
Describe themselves as alternative pop rock covering artist such as 
REM, Duran Duran, Rod Stewart, Pink, The Beatles, Greenday, 
Dandy Warhols, The Rolling Stones etc 

8pm Kings Lock (concert marquee)-
Shamus Oblivion & The  Megadeath Morris Men
to give them their full title! First-time visit for these Nottingham based
Celtic Rockers, sure to win new fans with their go-get-'em stage show

8pm Newton Brewery-
Billy Martin + Hayley Strangelove 
Country-rocker Billy Martin comes highly recommended and with 
Hayley rounding off the night it should be a great opener on the 
canal-side at `The Newton` 

8pm White Horse- 
Johnny-Boy Priors
 -`the best Northern Soul singer for miles!
Enjoy outdoor music garden and a warm welcome 
at the White Horse on their opening night of the festival 

8pm White Bear- (Courtyard)
Acoustak + Hat Fitz & Cara 
Acoustak play a mix of country/blues/folk- firm favourites of the 
festival and rightly so, and busy supporting the local music scene. 
Hat Fitz & Cara make a very welcome return following their 
astounding debut here in 2012 when they blew everyone away! 
Here for one night only on their European Tour

Bearfoot + Bitter & Twisted + Jonathan Tarplee
First night at the festival, Cheshire Folk brings you a full nights music to make merry to! 
Jonathan Tarplee 7.30pm Singer songwriter famous with the band the Blue Yellows
Bitter and Twisted 8.15pm Liz's band, folkie, country, blues and banter withLizzie RosenfieldEddie Fendertelecaster Ogle Sean Boyle and David Giles.
And to really put you on your feet and encourage you to drink the Legions best beer for the rest of the night, the Mighty BEARFOOT! BearFoot Livethe greatest and most sought after pub bands on the Stoke and Cheshire scene with their drinking songs, blues, soul and a smattering of folk. Eddie now plays with the band and can be seen jumping on the tables and rocking it out with the great Joey Preece. Welcome back to MFAB Bearfoot!!
