  1. Any chance the Family Mahone will be back after their sabbatical?

  2. I'll find out for you, Ewan. My contact at Middlewich Town Council is keeping me informed, and we'll be having regular updates as the guest list is announced.

  3. Seemingly the Family Mahone are no more. Mark will be appearing with his new band at the festival, though.

  4. Here's what Mark has to say in the full version of his welcome on the Festival website:

For myself, I’m really thrilled to be performing again after a couple of years absence. As I said, nothing stays the same forever, and so The Family Mahone are no more. We had a very good innings and drank and sang ourselves daft for the best part of fourteen years. Enough. And so I am really pleased to be able to introduce you to The Big Figures.

We are a ‘proper’ r’n’b band in the Dr.Feelgood mode which I really hope you’ll enjoy. We are totally un-Mahonelike although once again I have managed to recruit band members who are not only great players but fetching eye candy too! So worry not, as with the Mahones the discerning amongst you will be assured of some genuine festival beefcake!
